I really like the food here. It’s healthy, fresh, and a lot of it local. I had the salmon and the hummus plate, both were very good. I wish they were open later. Service is very friendly.
Tried to like it… Failed. On Ludlow you’re cafe options are Sitwells (bad service, and bad decor) or this place (bad service, but nicer decor). Obviously, I wanted Om Cafe to work since it’s the more tolerable option, but despite being less than half a mile away I cannot bring myself to deal with this place. I hate to sound mean, but the service is terrible, and the food is crazy – $7 for a slice of pie, and ‘vegetable chile’ that has NO VEGETABLES IN IT – literally just a bowl of beans. The teenagers working here can’t even make tea right. They keep the place freezing for some reason – even blowing cold air when people are wearing jackets outside, but in the winter it’s really cold because they’re stingy with the heat. Don’t bother asking for a change in temp – this is not a small business that’s responsive to customer feedback. What else can I say? I hope someone opens a decent coffee shop on Ludlow someday.Update: Despite the many flaws, I was going semi regularly until the owner posted signs all over supporting the 3rd party Green candidate for president, and then Dump won. Will never give these people another dime.
