Went there today. For the second time. The waitress was horrible. I had to ask for cream 3 times. By the time I got it my coffee was cold. She took the people who came in after my tables order first and totally messed up one if our orders. We were going to leave before we place our ordered but we gave it a chance. The server seemed more concerned about regulars than waiting on us at all. She brought us our check before even asking if we needed refills, which we both did. She never asked how the food was. It was wrong. I would recommend not wasting your time.

AWESOME. Chicken is neck and neck with Hitching Post (Hyde Park–NOT Kellogg) for best in town. The potatoes and Onions are fresh and oh so tasty. Frankly, I’ve not tried anything else, the chicken is soooooooo goooooood.14 Oct, 2011AWESOME. Only a small few GOOD Fried Chicken Joints in town…Hitching Post and Rons Roost are the REALLY GOOD ONES. Proud Rooster in Clifton stands at the TOP. Juicy, crunchy, fresh, flavorful, resonable price. Add some home fried potatoes to this…and its like Sunday dinner in the south with mom.Keep on doin the damn thing Rooster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Decent breakfast nice place. Went for a little breakfast and it was decent not great but I would go back. biscuit and gravy was hot and biscuit very soft and fluffy goetta was good but not great I like it a bit thicker than the way they serve it. Coffee was okay nothing to write home about and prices were cheap so worth going too. I need to get the fried chicken since I love me some fried chicken.

Breakfast, simple and fast. My favorite place to get breakfast, hands down. Specials before 10am, great family owned and operated business. A staple of clifton gaslight.

Oh La La. Really for me, one of the BEST places for chicken in Cincinnati. It has to be the the location on LUDLOW, for me the one on the Westside does not taste the same. The only problem I have is that they don’t always have chicken wings available and that is my favorite part of the chicken.

Meh. Went here for breakfast the other day. it was near my friends apartment and we didn’t feel like driving anyway. the french toast was nothing special(i can make much better french toast at home), the home fries were good, but dear lord the coffee was horrible. it tasted like the tap water from the area but with a slight hint of coffee. as a big coffee drinker, i will not go again because of how terrible that coffee was.

Mixed bag. The inside is quaint and a bit filthy (i.e. charming). The breakfast fare comes from a Bisquick box and is hard not to gag on. The chicken and certain other dinner items are amazing, though. The chicken itself has a unique hard coat to the fried batter that seals in all of the moisture and juices. The greasy spoon is definitely worth a visit (and a bit of a quiet gaslight landmark), but please visit after 12pm!
