The hipster ambiance with most walls painted with Edith Piaf quotes and pictures is very welcoming in itself. Loved their service and most of the food and drinks served were excellent.Ironically the bummer was the regular latte which can’t really match the Starbucks level. They have a funny little quote saying- Friends, stop your friends from going to Starbucks. The other stuff we ordered- a Milky Way smoothie, New York egg sandwich and a turkey sandwich were all top notch!I’m going back.

Consistently disappointing.. I have stopped in a few times, even as far back as then they were in the basement of the Tudor Court Apartments… but it never really changed. The food is mediocre, overpriced. The Coffee is okay. but the service consistently is poor, even by coffeehouse standards. I understand a laid back attitude or approach, a chill environment, but to be completely ignored or waiting exceptionally long times for food or even just a cup of coffee is absurd. I love to support small businesses and locally owned restaurants, but I’m done with Sitwells after this last visit.
VERY RUDE. The owner at this coffee house should not be an owner of a coffee house. She is very rude, unprofessional, loud, and obnoxious. Awful experience. The service isn’t great either.
Worst coffee house I’ve ever been too. The owner is a drunken psychopath. Ssh he is rude and I’m not sure how she has been in business for as long as she has. She has got to go… she makes Ludlow look bad…
Soooo RUDE. My husbands band had to walk out on their gig at Sitwells Coffeehouse and Bar this past weekend, where they had been playing once a month for the past year. Our 14 year old daughter and I went to his show to enjoy the evening of Jazz, have some sweets and play some games. The server asked to take our order, before my husband could even park the car. I told him we weren’t ready and would order later. When my husband came in and started unloading his gear, our daughter ordered a $7 milkshake, he then insisted that I order too, told me that everyone must order something, I explained that we would be there all night since we came with the band and I will be ordering in a little while. Next thing I know the OWNER comes right up on me, pointing her finger and raising her voice for everyone to hear, stating that I have to order something NOW! Everyone has to order something, I can’t just come into a small business and not contribute to the business. I again explained, that I am not going anywhere anytime soon, as I came with the bass player who will be playing for two hours and I will be ordering something in a bit. She continued, that it doesn’t matter who I’m with, I was taking up her table. (there were about 15 empty tables) Said it was like coming into someone’s home and being disrespectful. She went on and on, until the band decided to load up their equipment and walk out. All this, before they even tuned their instruments. How in the world someone that insane can run a business for 15 years is beyond me??? Only in Clifton! We weren’t the only people who left, one guy stood up said a few supportive words to our daughter, who was in tears, as he packed his computer up and walked out. The funny part is. . . They actually went ahead and made the milkshake, while all this was happening. Walked up to serve her with it, just as we were getting up to leave.
