Somethin’ Close and Good. I pass this place 2-4x/day. Finally was able to try it. Very good! Portions are ginormous, one meal could easily feed two people. Ribs were smoky and cooked perfectly, sauces are good, sides are tasty and didn’t seem like they came out of a can. The cole slaw was above par — home made? I don’t know, but this place is def a family affair with everybody working. Reminds me of Al’s Rib Pit on Woodburn, before he moved all his stuff into a building. Love these open-air places, they have a lotta heart. Try it!

Somethin’ Serious! BBQ. This by far was the best BBQ I have had in a long time. The rib tips are so tender that you barely have to chew them. And the sauce is beyond words…just when you think is gonna be just an ok sauce it hits the back of the throat with this tangy. It is definitely something special. It is the perfect marriage of the two. If you have been searching for some good BBQ… Stop here and you will look no further. And the peach cobbler is somethin’ serious! as well. The only disappointment is that they are only open seasonally.
Good grab and go…. Somethin Serious is a great rib joint. The sauce stuck to the meat perfectly and the ribs were juicy. The sides were great as well. Everything was under $10 and its a great spot to hit while on the go in the downtown/zoo area. Will be going back soon!!
