Went for breakfast on the weekend. Not the best you ever had, but probably the best in the area. The kitchen can be pokey, but this is not the type of place you go for a quickie meal. An eclectic, gritty local place that has atmosphere just because of where it is and how it is laid out. Love that each and every coffee mug is different….mine was a super sized root beer barrel looking mug. They keep them filled. Our group had the buckwheat pancakes (a bit dry) and various omlettes (pretty good). Try the local sausage with your meal…..nicely spiced. The portions are pretty good sized and the service was decent. You can park in their lot or right out front on the street. Stick around a while and browse the open shops, including CLE Clothing and the local art galleries. An up-and-coming neighborhood with lots to offer.
I not only love the Beachland as a venue- but their brunch is awesome! Great veggie options, always good, and the bloody marys are great as well! They serve on Saturdays and Sundays which is an extra bonus
I’m writing this review as we sit and wait and wait for our meal. The staff and kitchen are incredibly slow. It’s to the point of being painful. We didn’t plan on lunch taking up most of our day. After reading the reviews from 2 years ago nothing has changed.
It pains me to write this review.. I LOVE the beachland as a music venue, but the brunch left me ill. Kitchen service was slow which doesn’t usually phase me. When my food came out I was starving. I rarely say anything bad about food when I am this hungry. I quit eating halfway through my buckwheat pancakes and sausage. The cakes came out soggy and swiming in a sea of butter. Terrible. Worse yet, the sausage was gamey. The food made me sick to my stomache. Sorry guys. Unfortunately, I won’t be back for brunch.
Brunch had such potential, but failed. Went for Sunday Brunch. The menu looked great, the staff was nice but the horrible music that the DJ played absolutely ruined the atmosphere. I love music and I love it loud but nihilistic death durge music played over a PA system at loud volumes pretty much ruins any dining experience.
