The Perfect Spot. I read the reviews here for the Lady Luck and decided to give it a try since I just moved to a new place not far awa. I love old hole in the wall spots in out of the way locations so this one sounded like a winner. I’ll just sum it up like this – the Lady Luck makes some damn good food! It’s cheap, the portions are big, and the quality is outstanding. Combine this with the very unpretentious atmosphere and the Lady Luck is a real gem. When my wife and I arrived the lot was empty and I wondered if they were open. But, once inside, Mary behind the bar sprang to life and thanked us for coming in since she was getting a little lonely. We ordered from the blackboard menu and chattered with our new friend like we had been regulars for years. My wife’s nachos were very good with scratch made chilli and tortillas deep fried fresh and not from a bag. My burger was a monster that I had to eat with a fork. We ate, talked, watched the TV over the bar, and just had a relaxing time. This is a nice quiet place and not a loud sports bar or other type of place where you pratically have to scream to hold a conversation. No, this is definitely an older place suited to an older crowd. We were both very impressed and I think I have a new favorite.
Appearances Can Be Deceiving. It’s a little hole in the wall, dive bar. It’s also hiding some of the best food in the Cleveland area. From the legendary Bull Burger to the understated chicken wrap, this food is to die for. Made to order, hot and succulent, this food gives new meaning to bar grub. There are little problems, don’t get me wrong. Their hamburger buns could be better. Maybe go with a Kaiser roll instead. The Jalapeno Poppers are stuffed with cheddar, I prefer cream cheese. However, these are little things in the face of so much good. I just ate one of their weekly specials, the chicken wrap. For $5.00 you get two good sized wraps, stuffed with chicken, lettuce, tomato, cheese and your choice of sauce, wrapped up in fresh tortillas, thrown on the grill to be nice and hot. I ate both, I’m stuffed, yet I still want more. Over the last few years, I have sampled just about everything on their menu. (Except the fish, I don’t eat it, but have been told it’s awesome.) There’s not much that I would change. I recommend to everyone looking for a good, decently priced meal, a kickin jukebox, and great pool players, try Lady Luck. It might look like a dive, but appearances can be deceiving.
