I want to like this place but it just hasn’t worked on a number of occasions. The last 3 times I’ve been there I’ve had to have my drink remade. Last time I ordered a cappuccino, u know foamy espresso drink?. And got a blatant latte. I know sounds like a coffee snob but one of my pleasures in life is a scone and a foamy cappuccino. I ordered a double cap and noticed that my cup was under the wrong (espresso) spout and the espresso was going down the drain. A manager guy(nice guy don’t get me wrong) noticed and pointed it out to the barista, she moved the cup over and caught remaining espresso. Finished the cappuccino turned latte and served it…..good thing the girl ordering didnt tell the barista it was to be made with skim…remake. And why didnt the guy have her remake the drink without me asking? Essentially they were goin to have me pay for a double shot cap which half the good stuff went down the drain. I am assuming the barista was training, and mistakes happen, mo biggy. BUT DONT SERVE THE MISTAKES!!!!! My friends cappuccino/latte tasted like cleaner. Also if u are not the artsy looking type you will not get a warm smile. Again I wanted to like this place and a small mistake once in a while is life but when it happens time after time, back to back to back…..whipped.

I have a lotta love for many coffee places around Columbus, but A Touch of Earth is probably in my top 2. =) Their cappuccinos are to DIE for…perfect silky foam (not too much air) and delicious espresso. I cannot say enough good things about their drinks or the great service I always get. Definitely a must if you’re in the north market, and worth going out of your way for.
