Mediocre Breakfast, Decent Dinner. I stayed at the DoubleTree for five days awhile back and ate at the Caucus room a few times. The breakfast in the mornings is both expensive and underwhelming. You can order the buffet, which is around $14 and is genuinely no better than the free breakfast many hotels put out. Not horrible for a breakfast while traveling, but for $14 you’d expect something that would be better than what you’d find in an economy style Hotel like a Super 8.The dinner fare is significantly better, they have a good burger and steak. The bartenders and waitstaff are all great during dinner time. The only negative (and is kind of a big one if you aren’t on a corporate expense account for travel) is the pricing is a bit out of whack. You’ll spend over $20 for a burger and fries after tip, and while the burger is good it’s no better than something you can get other places for $10. Same deal with the steak, for the quality it feels like you’re overpaying by about $10.
