China King would be great in any neighborhood. China King is in The Bottoms of Columbus. Don’t let the neighborhood turn you off. It is better than any Chinese-American Restaurant in the city. The lunch specials are the best bargain in the city. They include soup or egg rolls and pork fried rice if you want it.The shrimp and broccoli is awesome. I order it with garlic sauce extra spicy. The shrimp and scallops in garlic sauce are also great. So are the traditional America Chinese foods that most Americans like such as War Sue Gai, Sesame Chicken, and lo mein.The Wonton Soup and Sweet and Sour soup are excellent. I’d rate China King five stars for taste, three stars for atmosphere, and five stars for value. The food is always good and consistent.The menu is extensive. My only criticism is that the chef won’t serve me the authentic Chinese food he serves his family and employees. I’d bet the seaweed soup and perhaps even pigs feet and chicken feet would be as good as the regular items on the menu.
