Disappointed. Went out on a limb and ate here for the first time today. The salsa and chips were good. The service was fine. We ordered the avocado fries, which were so oily I couldn’t stomach them. My friend had enchiladas and I ordered a burrito. Both were meh. For the price there are much better Mexican restaurants (Abuelo’s just a few minutes away is fantastic!). Will not be eating here again.

Overpriced, Average Food. New management must have taken over because the service was top-notch. The salsa is really good, but the dishes tend to be dry and a little bland. Good experience, but just so-so food.

Ghastly, indelible food. The descriptions are so inviting, but the meals are a poor imitation of authentic Tex-Mex cuisine. The food is a poor characture of real Mexican dining. Chips were stale (two different bowls), sauces on enchiladas were bland and pastey, black beans were hard and under-seasoned, the cheese was void of flavor and was simply a blob of fat (quesadilla and cheese enchilada), the table side made guacamole needed more garlic, cilantro, onion, and flavorful avocados … which were, to put it politely, were not ready for prime time. This restaurant should be avoided by anyone desiring Mexocan food.

There are a lot of cons at this place; however, I tend to forget about them after ordering their Watermelon Margaritas. They’re delicious. Overall, they are way over priced for the quality of food they serve. The price for a pitcher of margarita is ridiculous if you don’t make it on time for happy hour.

My experience: walked in, promptly seated in lovely patio area, sat for 15+ minutes no one even took my drink order. I left. Writing this review from Abuelo’s. With a drink in hand. And an order placed. Much better.

Quality & Service Appear to be Declining. My wife and I went to eat at On the Border near Easton tonight. We called ahead around 6pm and arrived at 6:30 and were seated immediately. This was nice especially since it was a Friday. Unfortunately the floor was sticky on our way to the table and the table was sticky when we sat down. Since it was before 7, I asked the waitress if they had any happy hour drink specials and what beers they had on draft. She mentioned several beers on draft (including Corona) so I said that I would take the Corona even though she couldn’t confirm what the price would be. She left for a while and came back saying that Corona was not on draft but that they had it in a bottle. I tried to ask her what other beers were on draft but she couldn’t seem to understand what I was asking, thinking I still wanted the Corona. Eventually I just asked for a Bud Light on draft. It took several minutes to get our drinks and the chips didn’t come til after that. The salsa with the chips was incredibly spicy hot which I didn’t really mind, but I could see how others would not like this. Overall, the waitress seemed inexperienced and generally unfamiliar with the menu. I asked for the fish tacos but did not specify grilled fish or fried fish. I wanted fried and didn’t realize they had more than one type of fish tacos. When our food arrived and I realized that the fish was grilled, I sent it back and told the woman that I actually wanted fried fish tacos. They brought the fried fish tacos very promptly but they didn’t have any sauce on them (which they should have had). I had to wait for the waitress to come back and I requested the sauce. A few minutes later she came with the sauce. All the while my wife was eating her meal and all we could talk about was how poor the service was and how poor our waitress seemed to be. Eventually I got the sauce for the tacos and my wife lamented that the taco she gave her was actually beef when she had ordered chicken. Knowing how upset I was, she told me that it wasn’t a big deal and that she would eat it anyway. This was kind of the last straw for me so when the manager came to check in on us, I explained that the waitress didn’t seem to know what she was doing and both of our orders were incorrect. I asked if the waitress was new and he said she was but I don’t think this is really a good excuse for such poor service. The manager was very understanding and he did comp the tacos. Unfortunately based on other reviews on this site, the poor service seems to be a trend and I would not consider returning this restaurant again because it appears to be more than an abberation.
