  Dropped in around 1:30 on a Sunday after church and the place was packed. Great hospitality and our waiter was exceptional. Food was great. Only reason a 4.5 and not a 5 was the wife’s food was cold but they brought in a whole new hot plate. Great beer selection as well.

  I stopped into Hang Over Easy while down at UC for an event. Great location. Good service. Awesome food. I had a hard time choosing because I love breakfast foods, but their burgers sounded really good. Ended up with the Skillet and a root beer float. My daughter went with the chicken and waffles and a float. They have plenty of adult beverages if you are in the mood. The Skillet was great! Chicken, chorizo, and queso cheese with eggs and potatoes. How can you go wrong. Definitely will be a stop if I am in the area again.

  I enjoy chicken and waffles. These folks make the best version I’ve tried. AMAZING. Chicken and waffles. Eat them. Thank me later. Service was better than expectation.

  I have only had breakfast here and it is excellent. My go to is the goetta omlete. Very nice sized omlete comes piping hot with plenty of goetta and cheese. The marble rye is thick and nicely under toasted, the way I like toast. I like the decor and the service has been great, helps that I get there right when they open so no wait.

  Been to HOE a few times..but this is for my most RECENT visit. After not really wanting to go home around 12:30am after hanging out with a friend, we decided to go to HOE in the POURING DOWN RAIN for food.Bad weather. Great choice.With a mouth full of metal, one can only eat certain things. Previously I had the chicken and waffles and bread pudding french toast, but this time I settled on a breakfast sandwich and some hot tea.My guest had the Garden Omelet as well as some hot tea.HOE is a nice place to chill, eat, watch TV. In the spring/summer, go out back and chill in the patio area if you can.Good times!

  Multiple bad experiences from wait time to wait staff. Incorrect orders and missing sides. I have only complained once and it was enough of a negative interaction to curb my patronage until today, regretfully. Confirmed to the extent I’m willing to take time out of my day so you can save yours; not worth your money.

  I usually have a great experience at HOE but today it was just disappointing. We weren’t even there at peak hours for breakfast. My order was completely wrong. I ordered a burger medium rare. After 20 or so minutes I received my plate and my burger was well done. (come on, man! Temp that protein correctly!) It was missing the toppings that were listed on the menu too! My boyfriends order was also incorrect. We were told that the kitchen didn’t inform the FOH staff that they were out of praline butter for the chicken and waffles… But another person at the bar next to us ordered it and it had butter on it! What the heck? Did they make more or were they just putting regular butter on it? The butter would have helped because the waffle and my fries tasted like they were made previously and then left under the heat lamps. They were gross. Rookie mistake for the kitchen. Remake the fries if they’re cold! Ugh.Service was mediocre. I think they were understaffed and overworked today? We typically love this place but it will be a while before we return. So disappointing.
