Brussle Sprouts are OUTSTANDING!!!. I went here with co-workers back in January. I am not big on German food so I ordered the Filet Minion special they had. It was good but not great. But, I tell you what was GREAT…The Brussle Sprouts!! They are outstanding!! Being of a certain culture, brussle sprout were never apart of my food choices at all. I had them here and they were remarkable.
Good service, but food not authentic. I went to the restaurant with my wife and ordered the pretzel as appetizer, and the schnitzel as maincorse. Since i am German and had read several good reviews on here I had my hopes up to recieve somewhat autentic food. The pretzel was just bad, but the schnitzel was ok, but also not authentic. Food is really overpriced for what it is.
Cool old bar. Good German food, good German beer and good service. I’ll be back.
I had been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time, and I finally went and will definitely go again! The atmosphere was authentic, the service was good, and the food was great! The sausages were some of the tastiest and largest that I’ve had at a German restaurant. Bier on tap was the highlight!
Slightly Dusty Old-Timey Good. This restaurant has an awesome outdoor ‘beer garden’ and a very German themed indoor dining area, complete with hilarious german-style music. The portobello spatzle is delicious but beware the weird German salad…
Really neat atmosphere. Beirgarten would be great to hang out in and drink a few. However, we had the schnitzel and the Hungarian goulash, and we were not impressed with the taste or texture.
Very good German food and atmosphere! Only German beer on tap! Family owned and very welcoming! Cincinnati’s oldest restaurant since 1865!
