A Sad Representation of Cincinnati’s German Heritage. Mecklenburg Gardens has an interesting and excellent history, but unfortunately it has continued to go down hill since it was reopened in 1996.The servers and bartender are very friendly, but the beer is highly overpriced. The food is also overpriced; $11 for a small bowl of goulash which tasted only decent and did not come with any sides like bread or salad. Although I have frequented this restaurant for years the owners are unfriendly and do not appreciate return guests or groups who come to the restaurant because it is the only German option in Cincinnati. This restaurant needs new ownership or more competition in this city and I would not recommend it to anyone.
