Disappointing service. Lopez has the best margaritas, golden, with salt. However, the bartender only wants to wait on you if you are a close personal friend. This lack of service has been consistent for about 6 years now. The guy looks right at you and then does not come over to ask what you’d like. Last night, my friend and I stopped by and sat at the bar, no service…moved to a table, the valet had to seat us, no one else was around. The waiter was great until we were ready to pay the bill and then he was nowhere to be found. Very disappointing, this time is the last time, no more chances for Lopez.
Fan-%#$&@?!-tastic. Any negative reviews of this place are wrong, our first trip in was awesome. Great service, great guacamole, great margarita pitcher, amazing burrito. The server was very helpful in choosing an entree and even went as far as describing the condiments on the table. Yea it’s a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Always yummy. Probably my favorite Cleveland restaurant. I like the specials and new items on the menu or can always happily default to one of the enchilada options.
Never Again. We reluctantly returned to Lopez after having a disappointing meal/service experience about a year ago- thought we’s give it another shot. We ordered and appetizer and entree- and both were almost inedible. We managed to make it through the appetizer but each of us took one small bite of the entree and were overwhelmed with how terrible it was, just a truly off-putting combo of flavor. We sent it back and received no form of discount or kind of recompense. A $30 check for nothing that was satiating- and a terrible way to end a lovely day. I won’t give this place another chance, it just isn’t worth it. Cleveland has too many other good choices.
Unlike some of the other reviews, we had a very good experience. Atmosphere was nice, the place was busy but not loud. Dinner was excellent, but maybe a little overpriced. Was surprised by the asapagus, totally with the money.
Poor service meant we didn’t eat here. I tried to eat here a few weeks ago because I was glad to hear there is a new chef. We arrived at about 5:30 and were seated on the patio. There were 6 occupied tables and 5 servers. We were ignored for a full 10 minutes and decided to leave. We mentioned what happened to the clueless hostesses who never offered to correct the situation. Went next door to Dewey’s and had a great meal. I spend my dining dollars where they’re appreciated.
