Had the privilege to be here for my birthday dinner with family including kids, was delightfully surprised. We ordered the veggies combo which includes 3 veggies. I ordered the spicy chicken stew as a stand alone dish with extra injara bread. The stew looked tempting with the reddish oil showing up in the gravy but wasn’t crazily hot and my son could handle it with the injara to soak up the oil. The tomato salad with inajara and cottage cheese is a great combination with those veggies which included the collars greens, red lentils and cabbage-carrot stir fry. It tied up the meal very well and was nearly perfect for a family of 2 adults and a child. We ordered the coffee service next which can’t be missed and an integral part of the Ethiopian culture. The brew was strong and dark and went well with the sweet, nutty baklava as a dessert. The less star is for absence of wines but you can take your own bottle for a charge of 10 usd. I would absolutely recommend them to introduce wines especially the ‘Honey wine’ typical to Ethiopia. Prompt service and polite staff- reservations are a must because the seating space is small and can really get full on weekends.
