The food is great but the service is horrible! Our appetizer came out after we finished our meal, the server never checked on us the whole time. I will never be going back!!!!
Good (cheap) food!. We lucked out, got there right before the dinner rush. Chips and salsa were ok, we spiced ours up with the hot sauce on the table.I had the Burritos El Meson, and it was great! Beef tips in the burritos were a little dry, but the cheese sauce compensated well. Our waitor was friendly and quick with the refills. My fiance had a margarita and loved it too.If you’re looking for a fast, cheap mexican place, this is it.
Best Margaritas Around!. I love going here and simply enjoying their margaritas and the chips with queso blanco dip!! Friendly service and fast! My favorite mexican cuisine.
Great service! Food is fast and hot
I eat here as often as possible. They have typical Mexican food selection, but it’s all delicious. The wait staff is also fast and friendly.
It was okay. I had heard El Meson was very authentic and was anxious to try it. I had beef tacos with refried beans and rice. The salsa was fresh, with a clean tomato flavor and not a lot of heat. The tacos were mediocre, the meat was fine, but they were topped with low quality white cheese. The same cheese topped the refried beans, which I found a little thin. The beans didn’t appear or taste home-made. The rice was good. I also had sopapillas to complete my meal. I am from San Antonio where sopapillas are served puffy and light. At El Meson it was flat and more crispy than I am used too. I thought it was good, but maybe a little over fried. I would eat here again, but didn’t think it was the definitive Mexican restaurant in my area as I had hoped and heard.
One word – Margarita! Salsa was excellent, however the carne asada tacos were somewhat disappointing. Would give them another try!
