This was Raj Mahal for many years, but they changed their name to Taste Of India. I have eaten there several times, and it seems to me that the menu and staff are the same.I like this place, but if you see their reviews under the old name, you’ll see that they have some issues– mostly about a somewhat dirty appearance. Sad to say, that is true. The window blinds have been stained and broken for years, and Lord only knows when the place last saw a decent coat of paint. Even so, there has been a minor amount of sprucing up lately, so a little effort is evident.Regardless, more effort accompanied by some scrubbing and painting would make a big difference. These folks need to pay some serious attention to the dingy look of the place.Still, the food is good enough that I continue to eat there. They have some delicious dishes, and unlike the Saffron Patch, the prices at Taste Of India are very reasonable. Oh- we’ve NEVER had bad service there. I really, really hope that customers continue to patronize this cool little place, but will speak up and encourage the management to clean up their act regarding the ambience.
Food was good cups were dirty. After telling the server four times that every cup she gave us was dirty she seemed to get an attitude. She came out with the last glass for my boyfriend I decided that I was going somewhere else to get a drink. Plates, silverware and food were good just bring your own drink.
