The Blue Door is a haven for Foodies! It’s all about organic, locally sourced quality over quantity, knowledgeable friendly efficient service, visions of beauty upon the plate and astonished tastebuds with occasional inadvertent moans of delight. You will greatly enjoy your stay and always have enough to eat. The hardest part is choosing what to order. This is not a rush in, gulp and go restaurant. Plan on a long wonderful dining experience.
Hands-down the best place for breakfast, brunch and lunch in the area. The food is top-notch, great coffee, fantastic bacon. Highly recommended.
Should stick to breakfast and lunch. Invited a couple of friends to join me for dinner tonight,I have never been to the Blue Door for dinner. Restaurant was very a welcoming and the tables were beautiful. The menu is limited and we should have been warned that if you order the entrees they are smaller than the portions on the Chef’s tasting menu. I mean the plate was so large and there in the middle were 3 pathetic little bison medallion and a squirt of some potatoes. It was comical! And thank goodness my friends have an open wallet and a good sense of humor. Because for 33.00 dollars I should have had more than 3 bites. The chef might be impressed with his ability to combine the flavors but the prices did not match the food. Never again for dinner, not impressed. Too many great chefs in our area!
Awesome! Love the hustle-bustle atmosphere on a Sunday brunch of customers coming and going! Had the monte cristo, best I’ve ever had! Grabbed a lemon bar from the pastry counter togo, and it was huge, fresh, and incredible! Can’t wait to come back for dinner!
DO NOT EVER GO ON A SPECIAL OCCASSION!!!! It was overpriced and took 4 hours for a 5 course meal. Worst meal ever!!!
A wonderful evening. On February 6, 2015 we had a wonderful evening, German Dinner. Phantastic nine courses, decorated like a piece of art. I hesitated to start eating just watching the plates. Then the moment I had to destroy it and tasted the flavor … . Congratulations to Thorsten, it was the best dinner we had for years. Icing on the cake was the exquisite selction of German wines presented by Darryl. Andrea & Peter, Orange Village
Wonderful!. This is a pleasant, comfortable, quiet, unpretentious restaurant serving AWESOME FOOD! The 4 course tasting menu was worth every penny at 55.00. The meal was very nicely paced. We were there for 2 hours. Bring your own wine- no corkage fee. The servers were friendly and attentive, but not overly so. I love this place and will definitely be back.
