We wanted to go here for years, so today is the day, the welcome from the staff was friendly, we looked at the menu and ordered the charred steak wedge salad to start, it came out warm not quite hot for our likening, overall we liked it, we slit the burger which was a wise move, the burger was great loved the caramelized onions and boursin cheese.Overall a good experience.
Coco’s Bistro is a must in Dayton, they use local and keep it true to the Dayton region. The menu is seasonal so it will change every few months, which is nice. I am a fan of their meats. Their filet is typically a great choice if you are a steak lover, another great option is their duck. Their appetizers are packed full of flavor as well as their desserts. Their seasonal creme brle is a must! Overall excellent service, we will continue to go back to Coco’s Bistro.
The food and the drinks are always to die for! The customer service is awesome and the scenery is awesome. It’s a dim-lit, chill restaurant. Always enjoy our nights here.
This always a treat, one of our favorite places. Good food every time, both familiar and creative, good wine list but less expensive than comparable restaurants. Nice atmosphere and knowledgable service.
Food was good. The staff was friendly and service wasn’t as slow as the other reviews mention. My steak could have used more salt but it was cooked properly at medium rare. Everything was fresh and drinks were delish!
Fabulous Food & Creative Cocktails, Slow-ish Service. If you want delicious, innovative, locally-sourced food and delicious cocktails, CoCo’s is the place to go. Just don’t be in a hurry! My boyfriend and I arrived for an early dinner on a Wednesday in February. The restaurant was nearly empty, so I was expecting pretty good service. Unfortunately, it took our server about 20 minutes to mosey over to our table. (I had to get up and remind the hostess that we still hadn’t ordered yet.) We got the baked Brie appetizer, which is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I get it every time I go to CoCo’s! A round of brie is breaded, baked, and topped with a cold tomato compote. It’s served with green pesto and crostini. To Die For. Next we shared the winter spinach salad with blueberry vinaigrette and goat cheese, which was also spectacular. I had the wild mushroom cheese ravioli, which were really good, if a tiny bit undercooked. My boyfriend had what I wish I had ordered–a huge, luscious pork chop with root vegetable mash and some green beans. (Anywhere else, the green beans would have been fine–but next to the rest of the entree, they seemed bland because everything else was so fabulous.) The service was disappointingly slow, even between courses, but the food definitely made up for it, and we’ll be back. I hope the Bistro Burger makes it back onto the menu!
Had dinner there tonight. I had the pecan red trout that was cooked very well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is classy and cool. I also love that this place is native to Dayton. I would highly recommend the banana bread with blueberries. It was delicious!
