The cost is absolutely ridiculous and outrageous, but the food and customer service are both great. I was there with a large party, and our server never once made us feel like we were an inconvenience, and he was funny! Able to make great beer suggestions to us as well.

They have really improved from their bad reviews. We had a large group, had great and friendly service. The food was good and we were even checked on by Franco himself. If it’s been a while, try this place again!

Overpriced soupy spaghetti. Visited francos on 05-09-14…it was lovely outside and francos has a nice patio. it was a lovely evening to dine outdoors. too bad the hostess told us that the patio was closed. so we sat inside and ordered. the the pasta dish I ordered came to the table and it was soupy…..the canned sauce was too sweet and runny. my date ordered a pasta dish that came with veal…the veal was overcooked and bland…also there was some sort of argument in the kitchen and I heard somebody curse a server and threaten to fire them…..on my way out I noticed that the patio was being used. I mentioned to the hostess that I saw that the patio was now being used….she just looked forward with a blank stare…. overall it was a lousy experience…bad food…bad service and overpriced……50.00$ for 2 plates of soupy spaghetti…I couldve of gone to spaghetti warehouse and had a lousy dinner for less then half what I spent at francos………! do yourself a favor and stay away……

An italian staple in Dayton. Before walking into Franco’s ristorante research the city of his birth because your are about to dine on history. The restaurant is a classic ballroom area with plenty of seats for a couple celebrating there anniversary. Ask for the special and antipasto’s if your interested into Sicily.

Going Downhill. We’ve been eating here for years but since Franco retired; it’s been downhill. Tonight’s meal was good but service leaves a lot to be desired. We saw the staff mostly when they wanted to take our plates from the table, although the waitress did a good job, it seemed like ages between visits to the table. What got us most was no bread! C’mon this is an Italian restaurant. What IR doesn’t serve it’s guests bread? If you’re going to cheap out on providing bread, you might as well close your doors, there are plenty of other Italian places in Dayton that automatically provide this essential part of an Italian meal. Might be back but not any time soon.

Entering Franco’s I waited almost 5 minutes to be greeted and sat. It was another 5 minutes before my server came to the table. She was busy with a large party in the back, but there seemed to be no sense of teamwork because there were several other staff members that didn’t bother to help her. Our salads were ok. The ranch dressing was good, but the lettuce was wilted and probably shouldn’t have been served. My eggplant parm arrived at room temperature, while my sister’s chicken parm was piping hot. Not really worth the $50 I spent at lunch, but I would go back; to sit on the patio and enjoy a pizza and glass of wine during the summer, but probably not for a full meal unless our next experience is much better. That being said, when I had my eggplant left overs at home, (hot) it was DELICIOUS!

Was my favorite restaurant in Dayton for years. Ate there last night and had fettuccini with red clam. Food was mediocre, no bread sticks, bread bordered stale, service was mediocre with waitress seemingly disinterested and never asked for a refill on coffee or wine and was served minestrone soup in place of pasta fazule.. Won’t be back and definitely don’t reccomend it.
