Not so Fresh. Yea its great food if you like your salsa’s being made from canned products!!! They use canned tomatillos to make their green salsa, the corn salsa, also made from canned corn. As well as their chunky hot sauce is pre-made and ordered by the can. And the beans come in a can. Sorry but their very over-rated and too pricey for what your getting. Not to mention, one burrito or bowl is over 2000 calories! So, its just as healthy as eating Mc Donalds.

I’ve been going to the Kettering location every once in a while for about half a year. Their main draw is very spicy burritos, but since I’m a weakling when it comes to peppers, I can’t comment on whether they deliver on that front. However, their standard burrito offerings are very similar to what Chipotle and Qdoba offer, in terms of quality. Somewhere above Qdoba but not quite as good as Chipotle. They do have banana peppers available, which I don’t believe Chipotle has (I’ll be comparing them to Chipotle for the rest of this review), which is a huge plus as those things are this grown man’s candy. Biggest downside is that the burritos aren’t as big as Chipotle’s. They’re still enough to serve as a standalone meal, and sometimes even make me regret eating so much (in a good way), but I never end up saving any for later.Hot Head has a reward program, where by buying burritos (or tacos, etc.), you get stamps. Get ten stamps and your next burrito (or tacos, etc.) is free. On Tuesdays you get 2 stamps, and this is pretty much the only day I ever go. This ends being about a 17% total discount over the course of 6 burritos – not too bad considering I almost never see Chipotle coupons or discounts. The price of burritos is about six bucks, which I believe is pretty close to Chipotle’s prices, which is another disappointment. If it wasn’t for the reward program bringing down the price I might not ever go to Hot Head. But as it stands, I continue to visit on Tuesdays and am quite happy with it.
Started out good, but they raised their prices and lowered their standards. The employees seem like they hate being there, infact last time I was there a female employee walked out on the job.
Centerville Location – good. I went to the location in Centerville off state rt 48 on 2 occasions and tried the vegetarian quesadilla the 1st time and the vegetarian burrito the 2nd time. Pros: drive thru window; lots of options; polite employees; the rice wasn’t over-sprinkled with leafy green cilantro like at Qdoba and Chipotle; offer the option of flavored tortillas; the burritos are good-size, but not enormous like at Qdoba and Chipotle so you don’t end up wasting a bunch of food. Quesadilla was YUMMY. Cons: Although the burritos are a little smaller than Qdoba and Chipotle, they’re about the same price. Quesadillas seem small. Burritos kind of lacking in flavor depending what kind of salsa you get – I recommend opting for the hot salsa so you get some flavor. Summary: Pretty good and liked the convenience of the drive thru window. I think Qdoba would still be my first choice for this type of fast food because their salsa is delicious and they offer the vegetarian nachos, taco salads and Mexican Gumbo as menu options, which you just don’t find everywhere. Overall, though, Hot Head Burrito was a good value and pretty tasty. If I go back, I’ll definitely opt for the quesadilla because it had a very good flavor.
