More Sports Bar. I ate there one time. the food was a little pricey for what you get. It was loud and noisy and the wait staff was slow. What food we got was good but if you are looking for a nice restaurant to take your spouse you might want to skip this place as it is more of a sports bar type atmosphere. Nice idea for the sports fan.
They just don’t care.. Our family was going to meet here for dinner, we were a large group and thought a reservation would be good. We had about 10 or 12 in our party. They wouldn’t answer their phone all morning and into the afternoon. We went down to the restaurant to because my grandma really wanted to have the family go there. And the waitress, hostess and assistant manager were very rude to my mother when we arrived. The assistant manager actually told my mom she should’ve called first. (She mentioned she had.) I was disappointed and surprised they didn’t want a large group to eat at their restaurant. The assistant manager was very condesending. The apathy from every staff member we came in contact with was unbelievable.
Trying so hard to be something they’re not. Food is good. Pulled pork is tasty …good wings and salads are ok. Prices are on the high side with mediocre portion sizes….and whoa, their drinks are sky high! This place is trying to be upscale…what they don’t realize is that haven’t stupid high prices doesn’t make you high society. Skimpy pours…. and you better bring your wallet…even stopping for a couple drinks is going to set you back. One bartender in particular tries so hard to be cool and trendy…but misses the mark with bad service, worse attitude and zero personality.
Uncooked Chicken!! Be careful. I took clients to Jimmies today and when one salad with grilled chicken was delivered the chicken was only half cooked. It was red in the center! I hate to think about how sick he would have been had he taken a bite or bites. The manager didn’t come over or anything. I will not be going back any time soon!
Just so so. I really like meeting my friends at Ladder 11, really I do. And I am trying to like the food, but I always come away disappointed. I recently ordered the veggie burger as an alternative to salad. It was a tasteless mushy piece of something on a bun. I almost thought they had forgotten to add any flavor or even cook it. I was with friends and did not want to make a big stink, but it was a waste of calories and money. Don’t order it. In my opinion, they don’t work very hard on the quality of the food because they are the only place like it around and people come for the atmosphere and bar.
Fantastic, and authentic firehouse atmosphere. Historic building that was renoted with TLC. Great food selection expertly prepared. Overall, one of Daytons best kept secrets.
Wonderful Lunch. The service was quick and the food was hot and very good. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and her suggestions made for a great lunch. Arrived a little before the normal lunch rush and the place filled up as we ate. They have a nice patio area. Enjoyed the old firehouse related pictures on the walls. The only con maybe the parking on a busy evening. We will be back for dinner and bring some friends.
