Ok I am going to attempt to write this review without bursting at the seams with laughter. I am super fond of Latin food of any diaspora. I was on the hunt for a mexican dinner for the family when I used my google maps and stumbled upon La Michoacana. I was interested in the originality of the name and set my coordinates in the GPS. First bad sign, we arrived at a grocery store over by Belmont high school. Second bad sign, when we walked in (my chef eyes) noticing that the food was not being kept , cooked, or stored properly as to maintain correct temperatures. I did not want to get food poisoning or risk getting the kids sick so we decided to pass before we even found a seat. Third foul on the play was that as we walked back to our car to leave, three police cars and two sheriffs cars pulled up. They begin arresting people in the front of the grocery store. It was quite frightening, a little exciting, and a bit comical all at the same time. I wouldnt suggest this restaurant to anyone, not just because of the ruckus outside the store but the food not being held properly. Its too dangerous. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, not even stray animals.
