The food was ok, steak and the only side the place was serving was stewed tomatoes. The steak was large and cooked correctly. The service was the worst nightmare you can imagine. the seating was uncomfortable. Any place whos favorite story is to tell you, is how they made the president wait 45 minutes before they would serve him, think how they will treat you. They literally pride them selves on bad service.

Went based on a recommendation from a local friend. The outside is sketchy, and the exterior is very dark. But once your eyes adjust it is very characteristic with the wood decor and center room bar. Decent wine list and bottled/canned beers. Also have various liquors. Steak rated as 5.0, generous portion, cooked to order. Prices are a little high, but it does include sides. Which honestly only rate at 3.0. Salad dressings are very good, but the iceberg lettuce drags down the overall rating. I did love the traditional cash/member account option, and the service was top notch. The ambiance is a win.

My ultimate place to get a steak in Dayton. I have been coming here for years and the quality of food is some of the best you will find anywhere in the area. The one down side is that they do not take reservations. If you don’t get their early, it will usually be between a 1-2 hour wait on the weekends. I usually get the petite fillet steak and their garlic mashed potatoes are one on their best side dishes. Friend of mine also had the liver and said it was to die for. The only down side to the restaurant is the service is good but the wait staff can be rather snooty. That is why they don’t score higher than a 4 for me.

Horrible service. Manager is terrible. Do not waste your money. Overpriced food for a hellish experience. Will never go again. Please for your sake do not go.

This place has been voted one of the best steakhouses in the country. The Pine Club does not take reservations, so at 630 on a Saturday evening we waited about an hour at the bar. Not bad, except the bartenders seemed a little overwhelmed. The crowd was diverse in age and appearance: some people dressed up and in suits, others in sweatshirts and jeans. We were seated next to a group of fathers and sons from nearby UD. The staff was all wonderful and pleasant. Our server Michelle was terrific. Steak was one of the best I have had. They do not have credit cards, so stop by the ATM first.

Dayton’s old school steak house.Opened in 1947, you can feel the history when you walk in, My first visit 1990’s had a small group with me, the steak and the side were very good along with the sides, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and a ceasar salad. When I tried to pay for the meal ,they only excepted Cash! but they were nice enough to open me an account. The pine club has some similarities to the Oakwood Club and the Paragon club, maybe the sides, we had at all three restaurants.I want to revisit this icon and see if it has it has retained its charm.

Classic Steakhouse Delivers. We went to Pine Club last night and had a great meal and great service! We were greeted by a friendly host at the door; the bartender and our waitress were nice and attentive. The food was delicious! There was a good crowd made up of tables of 20 somethings to older diners. Lively atmosphere and a great place to spend a freezing February evening.
