Good Food + Nice People = A More Than Decent Neghbood Bar. While by no means a regular (I stop in at most a couple of times a year) I have always found the service and food to be quite good. It’s not 5 star, but it is a neighborhood tavern. The coffee is fresh and hot, the beer is cold and the burgers and appetizers are good. Last night I ordered the pick 3 with battered mushrooms, fried green beans and fried clams (combined with the burger, that made an East Dayton Surf and Turf). Friends who joined later added an order of fried pickles. Everything was arrived hot and fresh and while the grill is small and that caused a delay in the hamburgers, it was not excessive and the cook/owner came out and apologized for the delay

Good food, good service and a great digital jukebox. I’ve spent more and gotten less in many places, and would not hesitate to go back next time I am on that side of town and need a place to eat and maybe kill a few hours. They have Wi-Fi too.
Red Carpet Tavern False Advertising. I went to the Red Carpet Tavern for their 39 cent wings that they have advertised on a sign outside their business. I get there and it is a bait and switch. The person running the place was rude and told me they were 55 cents a wing. He said he didn’t want my business and when I told him I wouldn’t come back he said good. A very rude person. A terrible way to run a business. I’d avoid that place. Two thumbs down.
