Went specifically to eat & relax on the patio. About 6pm on a Tues and not many people were there. A relaxed, casual vibe, but service was fast and attentive. Had a few drinks and shared the antipasti appetizer. It had a nice selection of meats and cheese with added treats, all presented visually wonderful. It felt like hanging out in the backyard. Main course was the jerk chicken tacos. Presented well and wonderful flavor, but not as spicy as I expected. Great place to relax, have dinner with friends (or make new ones) and re center.
Great Cook Out vibe & excellent service!!. We went to a show at the Human Race Theater downtown on a Sunday afternoon and wanted a place to grab dinner afterwards. The Trolley Stop opens at 5pm on Sunday which worked out perfectly for timing and we were able to get a patio table for 6 with no problem. They had a limited menu which was cooked on the patio on the grill by the chef – they had Brats, Beef Tacos and Portobello Burgers. The food was excellent! The spicy tacos and the buffet of toppings & sauces were all delicious! They serve local grass-fed beef and local made sausage – even better!! They had beer specials for Father’s Day for dads which was also a nice touch as we had two dads in the group. The bartender from inside was very attentive to drink orders and even came out to take our dinner order – great service. It felt like we were at a Cook Out but we didn’t have to do any of the cooking – PERFECT! We will definitely go back to check out the standard menu sometime and have a few more Rhinegeist Pure Fury pints 🙂
Great for beer. I particularly like the beer tastings the first Wed of the month. Great deal and it’s always fun. The food is so-so. I ordered the brie sandwich once and it was a hot mess (and not in a good way). Now I stick to the quesadilla and call it good.
Wow…. Stopped in a for drinks and found out the Trolley Stop has good eats! Sometimes it’s risky trying a new place to eat but we were really happy with what we got here. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Prices are more than reasonable. I had the Santa Fe Salad and it was outstanding–the Zesty Ranch kicked it up. Good wings–everything we tried was two thumbs up. Better than most. Will be going back.
Love this place. Historic bar, great enclosed patio, rotating craft beer selection, excellent bar food, several separate areas in the bar to hang out.
Good food. Straight to the point, stop in you won’t be disappointed. Had a great lunch there last week!
