Everything I’ve ever had from Amato’s has been good. The mushroom pasta is amazing; I’ve had it twice and will probably always get it! The bruschetta is great too. Everything seems fresh and the wait staff, while seemingly mostly college students, has been well trained. It’s always busy on Friday and Saturday nights, so I never go then; I’ve always dined in.
Disappointed, horrible management and rude service that couldn’t have cared any less about or dining experience… Left before I could even place my order
Great food, excellent service. We frequent Amattos nearly every week and the food is always great! Craig the owner gives the place great character and our favorite waitress Sheri is one of the best in Central Ohio (Craig give her a raise). Just had Amattos cater for the first time for a birthday party and everyone raved about the food. Great for a Heavy appetizers sort of party: beef skewers, grilled asparagus/procuitto, grilled vegitable platter, bruschetta- delish!Love Love Love!Jodi Poliseno
Food was delicious. Servers on the other hand was horrible. Two hours to get a pizza that takes less than five minutes to make is absurd. The server was not friendly and clearly in over her head. The owner, I’m assuming, was in the middle of the restaurant BSing with a customer rather than making sure his restaurant was running efficiently.
Awesome pizza, great service! We started going to Amato’s when we lived nearby. Now that we’ve moved away, we still drive across town for it. We’ve never been disappointed – appetizers, subs, or pizzas. There’s nothing else like it in Columbus!
Thin almost cracker like pizza with generous toppings.. Love this place! Friendly staff and great toppings. Yesterday they may have been training a new cook. Some of the pizza crusts were slight burnt on the edges. Two of the pizzas didn’t have all the toppings. The waitress was great, friendly and she initiated sending it back. I had ordered the #4 Verdura and the mushrooms and artichoke hearts were missing. They prepared another pizza. We realized after we left, that another pizza we had ordered was missing mushrooms. They gave wonderful amount of toppings. Love the artichoke hearts – yum! The tomato sauce was great. I rarely buy pizza because the tomato sauce is practically non-existanet. Not here! It had good flavor and added to the vegetables. You may need to add paramasen cheese, salt (available on the table) to heighten the flavors. The crust is deliciously thin, more thin than flatbread, and cooked in a wood burning oven behind the bar. If you do not eat your pizza right away it can become wet and flimsy. There is a patio available that is pleasant. During the weekday lunch it is noisy with all the traffic and especially the trucks.
Amazing!. Went for lunch today… super friendly staff, food is delish and reasonably priced!
