Classic American diner. Large menu for a small place. Large portions for reasonable prices. Staff always very friendly and service is fast. Not a place to be private. Most food prepared in eyesight and you will often be talking with your booth neighbors.
Awesome late night burgers and shakes. Got carry out cinnamon rolls that were perfect for breakfast. Great old school family place. We’ll be back!
Update: I’m changing my rating. I don’t know what happened here. The last 3 times I’ve visited the food has been terrible. One of my friends actually got sick. I’ve heard that it depends on the cook, but I don’t have the time nor the inclination to figure out the cooks’ schedule. We’ve moved on and don’t go here anymore. :(Love, love, love! Staff is friendly always, food is homemade and fresh, prices are reasonable. I take all visiting family/friends here and they have all loved it too! My favorite restaurant!!
I ordered carry out today. I got 2 Hero burgers and a salad. The salad was good and the burgers were just ok. Nothing special. I thought that when I ordered the burgers, a side of fries would come with it but it didn’t. And it was $18. Kind of much for what we got. Won’t go back any time soon.
Mmmmmm. The wife and I have made the trip twice how, our goal is to sample everything on the menu at least once. Today I was jonesing for a classic American Bacon Cheese Burger and she wanted to try the Chicken Potpie, both were perfect but I was wishing I got the Potpie instead. We always get some cinnamon rolls to go for our breakfast the next day. FYI. Its a 120 mile round trip for us and YES we plan on returning.
No place better in its class!. It will be a sad day if this place ever closes. My son and I spent many Saturday mornings with breakfast after he finished delivering his Delaware Gazette.
A classic greasy spoon. Do…. A classic greasy spoon. Don’t let the misguided negative reviews fool you. Hamburger inn is exactly what you should expect it to be, a dive (in loving triple D fashion). Not everything on the menu is a winner but most everyone should be able to find something they like enough for return visits. For me it’s the burgers, fries and maybe a slice of pie.
