Cozy establishment with great food, love the gyros and the kids love the chicken anything…considering my girls are quite picky about food this makes eating out a great experience for all of us. The new owner is doing a wonderful job with Opa and we’re finding many friends there whenever we stop in to eat.
Best gyro. Ive only ever ordered carry out, so I cant review for dine in experience. The gyro is my favorite! So full of flavor. Best gyro I’ve ever had.
Mmmmmm…… My husband and I love eating at local places. On the very elusive Date Night we make it a point to stay in Delaware. We’ve eaten at Opa several times as carry out customers and have always been satisfied. We have only eaten in the restaurant once. When we did, we had a great experience. Our server was very friendly and helpful and our food was delicious and hot! We will be returning customers!!
OPA!. This place is pretty cool. The decor isn’t really that appealing. However, who cares right?! the food is pretty damn good, especially is you stick their specialties…Calamari, hummus, Gyro’s etc. The food is really good and its moderately priced. I went there with a few friends in mid January and when I went back in mid February, our waiter remembered us and remembered conversations we had…needless to say, i was impressed and this cool. its a small place, with bad decor, a squeaky wood floor but some of the best food…
Delicious!! Probably the best hummus I’ve ever had. Prices are great too.
Won’t Go Back – Wouldn’t Recommend. So, the place is a little dark/dingy, but that’s never stopped me from trying a new place, sometimes looks are deceiving – well not the case. While the servers were all very pleasant, service was slow, our order was wrong, appetizers were delivered with only the plates they were served on, and the check we received when we were ready to leave was fro $0.00 (clearly wrong) – I pointed it out to the server who stated that we were too honest for our own good??? (So walking out without paying would have been better??) In summary service was poor. Now on to the food – I’ve had better Gyros on High Street during my college days for a buck. The gyros were dripping with tzatziki – and I love it, but it shouldn’t be swimming in it – the sauteed calamari was a bit chewy and in a not very appetizing looking oil of some sort, the spanakopita had little flavor and was also not very appetizing. In summary, nice enough staff, but no reason to go back.
Would Not Recommend. My friend and I went for dinner one evening and it is not a place that I will be returning to. I ordered a gyro with came with chips and a side of cottage cheese. Let’s just say that the gyro was the worst I’ve ever had; a real disappointment. Another thing I noticed is that my water wasn’t cold and ended up melting the ice in my cup completely within ten minutes. The service was not great either, it took way too long for them to even acknowledge that we wanted our check. I would not recommend to anyone.
