Refused to take my c/o order.. I won’t go back. I went in at 3:00 yesterday and asked to place a take out order. The hostess said I would have to order through the bartender but she didn’t think he would do it. I insisted so she said she would ask him. She came back and told me that he said no. So I asked to be seated. I planned on getting my food and leaving. After several minutes, I was seated at a table by the bar and I had made it clear that I wanted to be waited on by someone other than the bartender. The bartender came out twice to take my order. I got up and walked out. I got a delicious burger to go at Hamburger Inn and the waitress was awesome.
First time and last time , I believed the hype and was disappointed. The wait staff is terrible ,the burger was mediocre . We got our appeziter after our meal , the fries are good but I not good enough to return.
Unacceptably slow service. Went there on Friday afternoon, July 3, 2014 at about 2:30PM. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich and a stacked roast beef sandwich. After about 30 minutes we asked where the food was. We were informed by an unapologetic bartender named Amanda that every ticket, no matter what is ordered, takes 30 to 35 minutes. The food came about 10 minutes later. Definitely not worth the wait. The owner Chris, who apparently has little meaningful experience in the restaurant business, tried to explain how each burger takes 27 minutes to cook. Why they don’t have some cooking when there is a full house is beyond me, but apparently they wait until each one is ordered, then go butcher the cow, grind the beef, make the patty, and then put it on a slow cook grill. Unbelievable! Of course, they could not start our food until every other order ahead of us was cooked. My sandwich did not require cooking at all, but i still had to wait. Unless Chris gets a clue as to how to efficiently run a restaurant, even with the famous name, i don’t think it will last. I won’t be back, that is for sure.
Chicken cordon bleu is unbelievable!
The Cod could not be found!!. The Cod was difficult to find between the huge gobs of over deep fried batter. TERRIBLE
Called on a Thursday night at 820, wanted to do carryout for a group of people, about $60 worth of food. Ha! They don’t offer carryout Thursday through Sunday. Pretty non customer service oriented there. Not going there again, I guess they are making enough money with there dinner in.
Disappointed. We could hardly wait when we heard of Thurmans opening in Delaware! We went when it wasn’t very busy (tables open, servers not rushed) and still had to wait 45 minutes at our table after we ordered — for two burgers with fries. The burgers were large and cooked nicely but the fries appeared to be parboiled and had been swimming in grease. No crispness to them at all. One of our burgers featured mushrooms which were rubbery and from a can. With tip (we had water for our drinks), $30 was an exspensive unsatisfying lunch. Perhaps the pizza and gyros will be better, we may try one more time.
