Lovely Vietnamese Chinese restaurant. Saigon Bistro has both Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine in its menu. Being raised from a Chinese-Viet family, this restaurant has been welcomed into my heart and stomach! I have dined in once and did take-out a few times. The food is WAY better quality than New China or Panda express by a long shot. The Vietnamese food is actually very authentic. My family has tried the pho and vermicelli dishes and found them yummy! My husband, who is caucasian and has a very bland food palate, also enjoys the quality of food. He says the chicken has the right amount of batter and is of higher quality than most asian restaurants. The hot and sour soup is rich and full of mushrooms, peppers, tofu, and egg drop. Most OTHER restaurants often make this too brothy and underwhelming. Even though I’ve only tried a handful of dishes, I’ve been highly satisfied with everything I have tried. The prices are very reasonable. The staff there is friendly and speak understandable English 🙂

Heard it was great….but it was actually a let down.. Nuoc mam is a staple in Vietnamese cuisine and its either what makes the dish or breaks it. Saigon totally botched the nuoc mam. It was pure sugar. The pho was ok, nothing special. The rice dishes were ok as well (as long as you did NOT pour the fish sauce over it). The rice itself isn’t traditional broken rice. Its just plain long grain regular rice. The spring rolls were lacking mint which made them taste very plain. We have heard that Saigon was amazing and wanted to give them a try. After our experience, I dont think we will ever return. The restaurant itself was super clean and very well decorated but the food was a thumbs DOWN.
