We went there in a Saturday thinking we would have a wait from the OSU game. We got seated right away and them waited and waited and waited for the waitress to see us. It was about 60 percent full. Then we got a drink and waited and waited and waited for the waitress. Her name was Sarah. Then we ordered an appetizer and waited and waited again. Wow. We have been here dozens of times and has great service from Ellen. Unfortunately she doesn’t work her anymore. Best waitress they had. Food is good but service is unfortunate.

I walked a mile and a half from my hotel excited to try this establishment. Hoping to try a few of the hundreds of beers they have on tap. I was unpleasantly suprised that they do not let you taste the beer before ordering. You can get a 2 oz glass for $2 or a pint at full price. I don’t need 2 oz to decide if I like a beer. I asked for just a small taste and the bartender told me she can’t do it and to talk to her manager. I ordered thier standard IPA which wasn’t hoppy at all, so I can only report on the beer I had which was flavorless. I did order a southwest burger and horseradish coleslaw. The burger had wonderful condiments and came quick but the meat was pretty much raw and cold on the inside and almost burnt on the outside. Perhaps I should have ordered medium instead of medium rare. The coleslaw looked appetizing and was fine but there was no trace of horseradish in its flavor. Maybe it’s just a namesake and not an actual ingedient. No one asked me how my meal was so i wasn’t able to share this info with the bar staff. I really missed talking to the bartender about the beer before ordering. I’m from oregon so maybe it’s just a west coast thing.

This place has great burgers, they are a bit pricey but are very good. Beer selection is 2nd to none. Good ambiance. The high chairs and bar stools could use a change. Not very comfy, lots of tvs though.
