I have yet to find a better beef empanada in Cincinnati, equal but not better, and paired with any of the sides and a little chimichurri it is just a great plate. Ive been hit or miss on the sweet side of the pie menu but never disappointed. They have a couple pies that are just standouts for me, so when I try something different it is hard to not wish I had ordered my favorites.
Love this cute little place! Excellent spot for lunch or brunch. I’m a big fan of vinegar slaw and OPO makes some of the best I’ve ever hadddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
Finally had a chance to eat here and was very impressed. The corn and cheese empanada was bursting with flavor. I also loved the tomato soup. It was a bit different than ones I had before but quite good. My wife had a brisket empanada and slaw that were both tasty choices. When I saw coconut cream pie on the menu that was a no brainer since that is by far my favorite pie and it didn’t disappoint. The toasted coconut on top was great and the crust was so good you can eat it on its own. Just a great pie. Very friendly service and very much worth going here. I can’t wait to go back.
For Diner en Blanc instead of cooking, since it was our first time attending, we opted to order food. You have to bring drinks, chairs, a table, plates, cups, cutlery and a centerpiece. I figured lugging a ton of tupperware was too much as well. We ordered empanadas and side salads as our main course. One because they are delicious and I use any excuse to eat them, as well as the honey vinegar pie. I love the beef empanada, but this was my first time trying the veggie. It was a great combo as well and I loved sharing half of each with my guest. Best of both worlds. Let me just say, I was very hesitant to eat that pie. Honey vinegar does not sound like a great combo, but the taste?! The pie crust was so delicious and the filling was cooked perfectly! I will never doubt you guys again. Everything was spot on and came in perfectly portable boxes. Made an epic night even better! whatbriscooking.com
I’ve been 10 times in 7 days. I’m guessing that speaks for itself, but this app makes me write a certain number of words. Mouth. Watering. Perfection.
I can’t say enough good things about this place! We got chicken pot pie, beef empanadas and tomato soup. I lovvvved everything that was on our plates. The pot pie was savory and comforting without feeling too heavy, the empanadas had tons of flavor. Our service was excellent, our server brought us a piece of the honey vinegar pie since it was our first time. I want to go back tomorrow and eat again. And again.
