Hate to be critical of a place run by such nice people, but everything here is covered in cheap, canned, gelatinous sauce. Good Asian food relies on subtle oils and herbs for flavor. Not here – every dish was too salty and/or too sweet. You might expect more because the decor is classy & it’s expensive. But they serve the worst Bibimbop I’ve ever had. Bibimbop is not supposed to have sickly sweet goo all over it. It is supposed to have hot sauce (e.g., Sriracha). This place should not be allowed to serve bibimbop – what they do to it is an insult to Korean cuisine.
I experienced great service from the moment I walked in to this restaurant. The waiter was very nice and helpful in finding spicy vegetarian options. He provided great and tasty recommendations. This is certainly a vegetarian-friendly place that will gladly make meat-based dishes vegetarian. Excellent for a classier date night and those who like authentically spicy Asian food. I’d highly recommend this place.
Lost a repeat customer. Used to be our favorite Asian restaurant. Tonight’s dinner was god awful. It appears Alex Chin is not associated anymore. The quality is totally gone. The great garnishes are gone and the chicken was overcooked, dry and tough. The Laub gai was not the same as before. What an obvious difference. Lost us as customers.
Hong Kong Wonton Noodle Soup. Great chicken broth (a tad salty sometimes), silver bean thread noodles, chicken filled wonton purses, bok choy…completely perfect noodle bowl that can be shared or serve as a meal. We usually order with a side of rice and share it. Our kids love it too – they split it. I’ve ordered it many times when at home ill…as curing as a mother’s homemade chicken noodle soup only better!
Yum!! Lots of vegetarian options!! I got the Mongolian tofu and it was amazing! This may be a new weekly lunch location for me!
Pleasant Lunch. Dined at Suzie Wong’s for the first time and had an enjoyable lunch. Service was excellent even with a full lunch crowd. Would have preferred more Tofu offerings as well as a heavier hand with the spices, but, overall, a pleasant experience.
I’m adicted to Suzie Wongs. This is the Best Asian restaurant in the city! The food is always with good quality meats, the flavors are authentic. They have the perfect blend of herbs and spices. When we order delivery they are the fastest, most organized of any carry out we have ever ordered. The food arrives hot with everything you need and they label the containers with your name. I can ‘t enough good things about this restarant, friendly, tasty and reasonable prices. I’m hooked
