Service and quality of food has gone downhill. I understand they are cutting help-everyone is. The problem is management in this particular restaurant is substandard. My husband and I go to the BE on Seajay now.
Wish it was like it use to be….. Peanut Butter pie and Coffee are still a winner here at Bob’s but honestly the staff forgot we were there. My breakfast was cold and was a bit on the small side for a hearty breakfast. I think I will give Bob’s another chance because I still believe on Ohio born restaurants.
….. in a handbasket. I have become progressively more disappointed with this chain. My gold standard eggs bennedict has been changed to a point of being unfamiliar. Nacho cheese type sauce replaces the hollandase…unacceptable! It’s now eggs with cheese, and bad cheese at that. Service at the several locations near me has been passable in the past, but has degraded to a point that forces me to wonder why they are deperate enough to Shanghaiing right off the street to wait tables and cook. Knife and fork turkey sandwich is a littel slice of thanksgiving. The eggs benedict are my gold standard for tasting all others.
You have to specify some things. Generally I like Bob Evans – I think that they have some great breakfast dishes, and their potatoes are great when they are cooked fresh. I have had a few potato orders come out that have probably been sitting idle for a while, and those were not crisp and were too crunchy, so I asked for a fresh batch of those potatoes and they came out very fresh and were great… so, once again, as with a lot of dayton restaurants, you have to tell them you want it fresh and then it tastes a lot better.
