I loved my meal here at Don Patron. It was Mexican cuisine at its best. I ordered the Burrito Patron. Some of the ingredients included beef, chicken, Mexican sausage, and pineapple. The flavor profile was so spot on. It couldn’t have been better. Layered flavors and textures. Cooked so well. Cooked to perfection. Served up hot and delicious and juicy and just….one of the best meals I’ve eaten in recent memory. The portion was generous….The sauce…The cheese. Modestly priced. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere. Full house. Margarita pitchers were good as well and I’m not the biggest margarita fan. My coworkers discovered the restaurant the day b4, raved about it.
Restaurant was clean and service was decent, but the food was lacking. Ate from the lunch menu. Food was cold, cheese was barely melted, and overall lacked that taste punch that you expect from Tex-Mex. I should have known from the pop music vs Mexican music. I’m never sure if Tex-Mex restaurants in Ohio try to cook to the bland tastes of Ohioans, or if they just don’t know how it should taste. In either case I won’t be back. Sorry Don.
