I have friends and family who think this restaurant is so good, and even supposedly the best in Findlay. NO!The food is either bland or barely palatable. I have given it 3 chances, with spans of years in between and the middle time was the best and that was disappointing and just okay.My latest venture, and guaranteed LAST, was Saturday. Against my better judgement, and relying on Google since Mr. Lees (Lee Chinese Restaurant) was closed I figured how bad can it be, and it’s still in business so maybe it’s been a fluke each time I went. NO! I believe there was only one person working. I’d checked out the menu on the drive-up board, texted my family, and had just put my vehicle in gear when the person talked over the speaker (this was quite long). I went ahead and ordered. They didn’t have everything I wanted… so I ordered Happy Family. I will refer to that as a Family In Need of Therapy… bland, not sure everything was cooked through. Chicken LoMein (I mean how can anyone mess that up, right?) bland… they, or at least the person cooking can not make brown sauce?! Potstickers… boiled dumplings and separate juice, right?! NO! They were slightly fried or something and I wasn’t sure which thing was supposed to be the juice/ sauce whatever you want to call it for those, because the final item I ordered was Almond Chicken… That came in a box and was bland, lightly breaded chicken, with almond slices, and my husband thought bland noodles… they were cabbage… I don’t think the cabbage or almonds were cooked or anything either. Included with the meal was of course rice, and (why I was not sure what was supposed to go with what) was a small dip size container of soy sauce I believe, and a good sized bowl size container of something that was trying to congeal. By the way, the congealing stuff was the best stuff they had included, so I mixed some in with the Happy Family. Then, after we tried the food and were much less than impressed, I threw everything else (except the rice) together in our large wok-like pan and mixed in terriyaki sauce, ginger, and wasabi sauce as well a little water. Then it was palatable.Would I eat here again? NO!Would I recommend this restaurant? NO!Good luck, and the majority of people I know say stick with Mr. Lee and Hunan Gardens.
