Food tastes good and is mostly homemade. Seems to cater to the overweight crowd. Mostly unhealthy options. Even the salad had too much cheese and bacon. Kid menu is the standard stuff (chicken fingers, spaghetti, burgers, etc) with no healthy substitutions for the fries.
Diner from Findlay. I eat at the Dark Horse EVERY single morning for breakfast. I have never had a bad meal and it is always served hot and quick. My two favorite waitresses Julia and Charity always take good care of me when I go there. On Sundays I bring my friends and we always are treated very nice. Neely does a good job keeping the restaurant running efficient. I only have one request-put chipped beef on toast/bisquits on the menu.
Food is good most of the time I have ate here alot. Last time here my son ordered cheese sticks they where cold in the middle a different waitress other than ours came over to check on us I told her about the cheese sticks and she said she would let someone know when the bill came I was charged for them I pointed it out to my waiteres and she said oh well you didn’t tell me and the owener neilee won’t let her take it off my bill. What the hell ? I won’t be back ever again
Breakfast. The breakfast at Dark Horse is generally good, however after your order is taken it takes up to an hour to an hour and a half to get it. They cannot make toast or english muffins without burning it. You have to ask for simple items like creamer for coffee and jelly for toast if its not burnt. The prices aren’t bad and the omlete is good. Most of the waitresses are pretty good. I know the waitress is not cooking the food and its funny that they can bring the ticket for the food on time but not the food. It really hard when you have to take a shot 1 hour before you eat, it takes me 1/2 hour to get there and after 1 1/2 hours I am feeling woosy. I am diabetic.
Pretty good restaurant , had the veal Parmesan . The veal was good the pasta was good , not the best sauce but it was edible. The salad was good and the garlic celery seed dressing was excellent. My coworker had the perch dinner and he thought his meal was good too,
Never again. I am a very experienced diner. I will always try to give the servers and the kitchen the benefit of the doubt. All I can say is if the service doesn’t improve and the prices need to come down drastically, they are not long for this world. There is a spot on here where someone has written the entrees are from $10-$15, not the case. They range from $13-$46. The ones my family had, Short ribs, Steak and Frites, Buffalo burger and some Lentil stew. None of these items were worth the money and the service was poor at best. It seemed that every table in the restaurant was having some kind of issue. All I can say Dark Horse is I hope you improve because currently you are leaving a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.
