IDO is an Akron gem that has embraced that it a throwback working mans bar with really good food. I travel to Akron for business monthly and Ive been there 5-6 times for lunch and dinner. Ive always been blown away by the burgers, steaks and salads. If you are looking for 100 beers on tap and modern vibe, look elsewhere. BUT, if you want an honest, unapologetic, old school food with a cold beverage, give it a try.
One of those corner bars that are well known in Akron that you go in and the atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly. Had the Hungarian sausage. Very good sandwich with the onions and peppers. As most important to me, the beer is cold and good. I’ve never heard of this place, so a friend took me and I was happy about it.

If it was not for the super friendly staff we have come to love – I would never go back on their attitude alone. She does nothing but bitch at staff and he sits and glowers. HOSPITALITY business, say it with me.
Love this place. Great food at reasonable prices…great servers…cold beer…nice place to go before or after a game. Just a neighborhood joint.
