Eeeehhhhh….. The menu was kind of small and over priced. Don’t recommend the ribs. For the price you don’t even get a full rackrack and they are very skimpy with the sauce.I would say about 75% coverage. The soup on the other hand was very good and the padio view was quaint and quite beautiful. The service was average. All in all I would say pretty, but pretty expensive for average everything. Not biker friendly. Stopped there for lunch with a small group of riding buddies over Memorial Day weekend. A couple of us are Veterans. Immediately treated like garbage, were sat outside on the patio, on a hot day none the less. Had stopped to cool down a little in the ac & eat. Food was ok, but couldn’t get any service, had to keep going in to grab our server, like we were an inconvenience to them. Complained to the manager, but could tell we weren’t being taken seriously. Never again. Horrible experience.
Charming Dining. Stopped in Grand Rapids on a whim tonight & had a delightful dinner at LaRoe’s. My hubby enjoyed a bowl of turtle soup & chicken sandwich while I had the fish & chips. Good food, friendly service, quaint atmosphere and nice clean place! We enjoyed ourselves and definitely WILL BE BACK!
Great food! The food is wonderful and the atmosphere is great. The patio has a terrific view. I loved the black and blue steak salad.
Worst experience ever!. Let me start by saying we went to La Roe’s for a place to conduct some business, then have lunch. We started with the business and then were going to have lunch. We had been there about 30 min when the person transacting our business asked to use an outlet to plug in a small printer to print one page. The owner came out and started literally yelling at us saying we could not use the electric and demanded that we leave and never come back. He stated that it was discourteous and that he did not want us ever in his restaurant again unless we were actually going to order lunch. (We had order 2 coffee’s and intended on having lunch after the business was done in about 5 minutes) We picked up our stuff and left immediately embarrassed that someone would treat us that way. I’ve never been treated with such disrespect in my life. I was appalled and will never to again. I will tell everyone I know about the horrible experience I had. We were, for the record, being quiet and courteous of others in the restaurant and even helped open the door for some disabled individuals that came into the restaurant. It was awful!
