My new Fave!. My new favorite restaurant!!! Great food, chefs are spectacular, very entertaining, and the atmosphere is the best in Columbus! Great place!!!
Lied about serving egg yolk sauce. I specifically called the Fusion Japanese Steakhouse in Grove Ctiy, OH and asked if they served egg yolk sauce or sakura sauce. I was told on the phone that they DID serve egg yolk sauce. My husband and I proceeded to go to the restaurant about an hour later. The waitress took our order, which included egg yolk sauce, and then the chef prepared our food. Right before he was getting ready to cook our scallops the chef informed us that they were out of egg yolk sauce. This was the whole reason that we came to the restaurant to begin with! The chef then proceeded to tell us that all of the food tastes the same with the egg yolk sauce. I doubt if this restaurant even serves egg yolk sauce at all. Needless to say, we will not be going back to this restaurant. Instead we’ll be going to Japanese Steakhouse in downtown Columbus or House of Japan in Dublin. Both of which always have egg yolk sauce. It’s very frustrating to call a place of business to check if they serve a specific item, are told that they DO serve the item that you want, and later do not have the item once your food is ordered and you’re halfway finished with your meal! This is not a good way of doing business.
This place is awesome! The atmosphere and chefs are so much fun. It feels like a special night out! The food is delicious. The salad dressing is creamier than traditional hibachi, but still has the flavor you love. The filet was cooked perfectly and was not over salted. The veggies hey serve are great- a huge variety! This was the most fun I have had at dinner in a long while!
My husband and I go weekly for the sushi. It is delicious! We love sitting at the sushi bar and have had nothing but great meals. I highly recommend trying their sushi or their steak. And they have great deals at lunch time.
So disappointing!. We waited so long for this restaurant to be finished and took our extended family there for dinner a few weeks after it opened. AWFUL!!!!!!! We eat out frequently and very often Japanese and this experience was bad on every level:The tables are set up so that you have two chefs operating in the same interior square. Their antics double the annoyance level. They have buttons in the ceiling they can push to blare music on and off, on and off, on and off. Gangnam Style was on replay in my mind for days. No one at either table was enjoying this–especially not the 80-somethings at the next table. There was no way conversation could take place with the noise level. Our chef, who was so bad at preparing food he should have been concentrating on that alone, was busy squirting straight saki into the mouth of one of the men (from another family) at our table. Yeah. Over the stove top. He also shot rice at everyone. RICE? Messy, oily rice getting thrown in everyone’s face?? But it got worse. He had a grimy little rubber man he used to would squirt water through the penis at people. He forgot to ask how we want our steaks. He gave my husband’s FULL order of scallops to the guy who got all the saki squirts even though he didn’t order scallops (and he didn’t stop him). So, while we are all eating, my husband is waiting for someone to bring more scallops to the chef. This order was smaller and he cut them in pieces to make it look like a full order. The rest of the food was sub-par, as well. No return trip planned for at least ten people there that evening.
Great food…. Terrible at honoring reservations!!! Let walk ins be seated before people with reservations.. Then try to say you made different reservations than u stated to get you seated where ever they want to put you weather that be hibachi or private… So if you plan on going dont make reservations .. They will not stick to seating reservations first like most restaurants do…
Great food and the entertainment was better than the other Japanese restaurants I have been to. 10’s across the board!!!
