We stopped here on a Tuesday night on a whim. There were only a few patrons there at the time. The host quickly seated us and a waiter came to the table quickly with chips and salsa. They started off on the right track by bringing salsa cups for all three in my party. These were okay. The drink special was $2.99 margarita’s. Original flavor on the rocks. They were pleasantly good, of course top shelf alcohol would make them better but for $3, I’m not complaining. Our food was delicious, burritos, taco salad and tacos, all were good. The chicken had really good flavor. We finished the meal off with fried ice cream. Even though we were all stuffed we all love into the fried ice cream. It is the best I have had in years. The price for the three of us was $55. I thought this was really good especially with the alcoholic drinks.

Be Careful. We used to go here a lot we really liked it until one day we invited our family to come out to eat with us here, I was sharing my food with my 2yr old and as I was getting ready to give him a bite of the rice I first fluffed it with my fork, then I noticed something that looked like fuzz so I moved it to the side and saw there wad more it looked like the waitress dropped my rice on the dusty dirty floor in the kitchen scooped it with a dust pan back onto my plate I didn’t want to ruin my family’s meal because they all seemed happy but after that I never went back and never will. My favorite dish here (was) the flautas until this happened.

We really like this place. My family was looking for a good Mexican place after moving here from North Carolina (where we had a great local Mex place we loved). We tried Fiesta Mariachi-service was good but food not so much and Los Camperos where we found the opposite. Then we found this place and we were so happy! While I will admit, sometimes they’re not at 100%, if you tell them you have a problem with something, they go all out to correct it.

First impression=Big disappointment. First time eating at this place. Nice decor. Great looking bar area. My husband’s food was good. I ordered mixed fajitas and it was over cooked. Could not eat the steak at all, had to pick it out. The chicken was tolerable. The waiter had to have seen the steak I picked out but did not ask if anything was wrong. I felt like I was being talked about. Two servers were talking at the bar and one of them looked at me and was laughing. So I did not feel very comfortable. I just wanted to leave ASAP. I will be eating Mexican food elsewhere. Like El Portal.
