Overpriced boring food. Lousy service. Obnoxious owner. Why does anyone come here?
First of all, everything on the menu is over priced. Secondly, they do not specify on the menu that half of the dinners do not come with any sides. My waitress failed to inform me of this and I ordered 2 sides with my meal. When I asked about why I was charged extra for the sides,(3.50 for vegetables, $4 for salad)the waitress sent the owner (denny or Dennis)to my table to address my problem with the bill. He was very rude, knocking his knuckles on my table as he approached and his breath reeked of alcohol. He told me that the menu stated sides were not included with my meal. I was explaining to him that I read the menu and on the same page my meal was on, it stated 2 sides come with all steak dinners and entrees. As I was in the middle of explaining this, he walks away from my table, picks up a menu, sees that what I was saying was accurate, then without saying anything to me, walks back to the bar to continue drinking with his friends. The waitress did nothing and I was left to pay the $50 dollar bill. This man has no respect, or any concept of customer service. Amazes me that someone like this owns a restaurant. U think he would care to please the people who make him money.
Great Fries and Beer Selection. Plenty of televisions for any game you want to watch, a nice selection of beer (prices are low too), and great fries. They have a lot of good food options, my favorite being the ahi tuna salad! YUMMY 🙂
Bbt review. I go to barnesburg fairly often the food is great, never had the ribs though and if your going to get ribs you should go to a rib joint, they have a clean, respectable tavern/dining experience in the heart of colerain. I have never heard of having a birthday party involving children in a bar so I am unsympathetic towards the bad service involving that. I don’t see how all these bad comments pop up if you know of a place that has better food in colerain by all means share it with me. bottomline the staff is friendly, the food is good, the bathrooms are clean and the beer is cold. In colerain that puts you far ahead of the pack.
Great Service. We were very pleased with the service we received, there was a little wait but the place was packed. Waitress was very efficient and food was delicious. Kids ate from the kids menu and loved the chicken tenders, they were able to get a salad as a side which was nice. Adults tried different entrees including a chicken alfredo, chicken wrap, steak salad, and salmon caesar…it was all perfect! Can’t wait to come back again, thanks for a great night with the friends and family!
Bad Management. I was at a birthday party in the party room we had 10 adults, a 4yr old & 2 babies. The party started at 5PM & we had the room from 5 to 7pm. Mr Wall the co owner & manager came in a little after 6 PM & wanted to n move 3 of the tables so he could sit diners who were lined up into the bar area. The group tried to explained that we had the room until 7 PM Mr Well explained he need to seat people in the room & since there were only 10 adults we did not need all the tables. My daughter & several other membersof the party tried to explain that they did not have control over the people that did not show up. Mr Wall was more concerned about the bottom line ( money) then he was about customer service. Our food arrived at 630PM & one of the waitresses came in & started to vacuum while we were trying to eat. We asked her to wait until we finished eatingm she stopped & then came back & told us the manager instructed hehr to complete the vacuuming.Mr Wall came back in & moved the tables around got into a verbal argument w/ several of the people in the room. this was very unprofessional & childish. So in the end no one ate their dinner at the restaurant & We never had a chance to actually do the birthday festivities. The icing on the cake ( no pun intended) no one was ever seated in the room & the party had been ruined. We will never frequent this establishment again which is a shame because are previous experiences had been very good. I will be contacting the other owner about how unprofessional his co owner behaved.
Dissapointed. Just went for the first time tonight. Had the ribs special. I don’t beleive I’ve ever had worse ribs. If done right the meat is tender. These had been cooked so long the meat was meally and utterly tasteless. Also, most everyone knows you don’t put the sauce on ribs while they”re cooking, except for Barnesburg that is.
