OH MY GOD! Another totally awesome meal. We live 180 miles from El Coyote and so it is a destination for us…..worth every mile. Start with the Margaritas, chips thin, crispy and tasty, salsa seasoned extremely well. In our opinion, there has never been a better stuffed pepper — they claim the pork chops are their specialty, they may be right. And the sides? Texas Beans….outta this world. YOU CANNOT GO WRONG with anything on the menu, I am sure. Our fave for sure.

On Dec 19th we celebrated my husbands birthday at El Coyote. It has always been one of our favorite restaurants for birthdays, anniversaries etc. Seven of us in the party. Told our waitress we wanted the filet mignon and PLEASE don’t butterfly it. After waiting 40 minutes for our food at 5:15 our steaks came out butterflied and the mashed potatoes were put in the microwave because they had a crust on them and they were just luke warm. The granddaugter only got one of the two sides she ordered. The waitress was with other customers, must have been her friends and totally ignoring us. Our bill was 260.00 and the food was no where that good for that kind of money. We always loved coming there because the food was great, not this time. Wanted to charge me $5.00 for a cake after spending that kind of money for dried out, over done steaks that were cut in half. What a horrible night for his birthday. Very angry!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Happened To The Original Chips??? Extra Charge For Refills????. Originally a Cincinnati native, when I come into town 5 times a year to visit family, the first place I go to is El Coyote in Anderson Township. My last trip was very disappointing as the chips that I have grown accustom to for over 20+ years are gone! They were the most unique tortilla chips, and totally worth the trip alone. Now, in an effort to cut costs (so I was told) they make the chips in house…now they taste like every other Mexican restaurant. And now there is a $1 charge for refills on tortillas and salsa…Come on man!!! Regardless, their empanadas are delicious.

Horrible, Negative, Eye Rolling Server. My family and I drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant that we had heard good things about. I have never had such a rude, eye rolling, impatient server in my life! I know people have bad days, but there was NO excuse for how she acted when I asked to taste the house margarita because the Golden margarita I ordered was really strong. We were at the eatery for 10 minutes before we left. After letting the manager know what had happen (with the server standing with her arms crossed staring at us while we waited for him), he still charged us for our drinks and cheese dip that we didn’t even touch. I might have had 2 sips of my $9 drink. So disappointed that a local joint would treat new customers this way. I felt obligated to tip on the bill because I didn’t know if their servers give the bus boys a cut of their earnings. I hated to think that the poor person who still had to clean our table was going to loose out because of HER negative service. We should have just walked out! We will never recommend this restaurant because they obviously don’t care about their reputation. We didn’t even get to try the food. The kicker of it is, that they were pretty pricey so you would think they would have gone above and beyond to make right on this service. Such a joke!

Went there for anniversary dinne after hearing about how great it was. Husband’s steak was way over priced for a very bad cut of meat. Fajitas are not on a hot plate but rather 3 pieces of chicken breast grilled with onions and very few peppers.Restaurant is dark inside ad well. Will not be back unless things improve.

Awful.. Terribly overpriced for the quality of the food. Terrible and downright rude service. You couldn’t pay me to go back there.
