Awful Service. I am currently sitting at a hibachi table where I’ve been waiting for 30 minutes and they have not started cooking because they are waiting for more people to come in. Not exactly the level of customer service you’d expect for $40 a plate restaurant with food that certainly does not justify the cost. Will never be back
Loveland Diner. I have been going to Iron Chef now since it opened. It was always the best place for 1/2 price sushi. It was never the best on service. We have stopped going so frequently because the restaurant is always freezing and the service is just down right horrible. Today we went in. It took us about 30 minutes to get our sushi order of 3 rolls. We were also only 1 out of 2 people ordering sushi. The server blamed it on the sushi chef. (Bull) I have been working in the food service industry long enough to know the server forgot to place the order. When I asked for the sushi to be taken off the bill (we did order other things) he came back with only a 5 dollar discount. It takes a lot for me never to go back to a place. I will never go back.
Went for lunch and am happy to say it wasn’t bad. With the bad reviews I was worried. Its not quick but its habachi so its not meant to be. I will say, make sure to get a refill before you eat or get two cups.. The drink service did suck.
Better options elsewhere. Neutral on Decor and ambiance. However, negative on service and quality/taste of food…Hibachi chicken was ‘blah’ with very little seasoning and the so-called vegetables that the waiter said it would come with, turns out 90% were onions and two broccoli pieces. Albeit we went there for lunch, the service and taste gives us no reason to go spend our dinner dollars at this place – Sayonara Iron Chef Grill!
I tried to use my groupon because there was another black gentleman there they assumed we were together. He must have had a groupon so they refused mine. Management came out and said thats why he dont like my people there and just made a scene I had been visiting there 6 years even though the food isnt to my standard my friends like there yum yum sauce. He lost a loyal customer over a coupon they offer and he was very racist. This was the 2nd time I had issue with them the first time because my steak was well done and not medium rare like I requested and the chef said black people usually only eat well done and he refused to remake it.
I am really very surprised to see so many bad reviews for Iron Chef! We have been going there since they opened and absolutely love it! Its a little pricey (consistent with other hibachi places) so, we normally go there for family birthday dinners. We all look forward to the show and the food is delicious! Ignore the bad reviews, and give it a shot!
Hesitant to go. Been there once. nothing really special with high price. one of friends recently went with 2 friends. got a bad service, and found they charged automatic 18% tip on her bill. they planned this all along and did not bother to serve them well from the gecko. don’t need that gimmick. wonder the owner/manager allowed this. bad biz decision.
