Disappointed again and won’t be back. Service and quality of the food has been going downhill for some time – such a disappointment given what it used to be and the location it sits on. Was told that they were out of ribeyes and out of new york strips when we went to order – 6pm on a Monday and there was virtually no one there. Service was really slow – most likely due to the kitchen and not the waitress, I ordered my ribeye medium because I figured it would come out rare and it actually came out well done covered, I say COVERED with some form of blue cheese something or other. I scraped it all off and noticed the ribeye looking suspiciously thin and not very ribeye-like. I tried to eat it but couldn’t. Even the broccoli was overcooked and cold – didn’t eat it either. The best part for me was the dunkel served in a Bud-Lite glass. The original owners would have NEVER served a German beer like that! I really felt sorry for the waitress who had only been there for a month. Honey – find yourself a better place to work because our party won’t be coming back again. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Don’t waste your time. Very disappointed. Have been there 3 or 4 times before and had a great experience. Went for dinner on 11/8/14 and had an awful experience. Prices went up and the quality of food went down. No cheese on my beer cheese mett. Margaritas were extremely small but still cost almost $7. Will NEVER visit this restaurant again!
Samantha. I have to say this is one of the best places I have been to in a long time. It’s not your usually crappy chain food. My husband I shared entrees, he got the Pork Chops and I got a Blue Cheese New York. Not sure what these chefs to do their meat products in the back but I have to say it was the most mouth watering meal I ever had. Char-broil on the steaks added just the right flavor as well. They had around 10 different drafts to choice from, craft beers included. We will definitely be back in the winter as well as the summer, fireplaces are fantastic!
Hidden gem! Good German food. But the best is the bar area by the river. It is very relaxing to sit, watch the river and have a beer on a warm summer evening.
Went with a group of 14, so i was expecting a loooong wait. Nope. Our waitress, which i forgot her name was very fast, friendly and attractive which is a plus! Our beers came quickly, as did our appetizers. I ordered the Kreimers Ribeye and DAMN! it was amazing. Really good rub, and cooked a perfect medium rare. Great place, and the outside tables give a nice view of the river!
Terrible. Recent Birthday dinner for daughter, unprepared cold food, cold coffee, overpriced for the poor service and quality of the food. Very disappointing especially after seeing the menu on the internet. Very deceiving. Will not return and will not recommend that any of my friends or family visit this place.
This is the third round for me at the bier haus. I keep trying to like the place. Ambiance is great. Beer is okay. Food is just edible. Prices are crazy overpriced for the quality and old school options. Lowsy meal and three drinks for $60. Find another option.
