We headed here for dinner before a concert at Riverbend. I had read a couple of reviews and if the only company someone can come up with is no gluten free than I’m okay with that. We ordered the crab cake appetizer. Large chunks of crab meat and just enough filler to bind it together. The jalopena tartar sauce was delicious but could be a little spicier. For the entrees we ordered fried oysters and coconut shrimp. We got them as baskets for a couple more pieces and two sides. The side choices are great and includes salads, breads, vegetables or potatoes. Everything was excellent! The oysters were fat and cooked perfectly. The shrimp was tender and flavorful. All of the dipping sauces complimented the food well. There is both a regular ( what we ordered) menu and a fresh catch daily menu. We’ll be back to try the fresh fish! Oh an my Pelican’s Reef margarita was awesomeness!

Crab cakes had large tender pieces of crab. The burgers and fried seafood was great. Waitstaff was very helpful and will steer you to the best food on the menu.

Disappointed. Mussels were nasty, hostess was impolite. Service was good. Always liked this place, but had a bad experience this time.

This is the second restaurant I’ve seen have a bad review for seafood tacos, so bad, in fact, that said patrons have sworn off eating there. This is probably because seafood tacos are an offensive dish that shouldn’t really be served. Ever. That being said, I come here regularly for the Tuesday crab leg special, 1 1/2 lbs two sides for $20. The salads are good and the ranch dressing is to die for. The lobster bisque (that you can’t get as a side) is also really really good (and I’ve had Boston’s finest lobster bisque). The twice baked potatoes are also yum. However, occasionally the quality of the cooking of the legs does waiver from outstanding. I would say that if you’re not going for a fresh special that the other main menu items are mostly fried. The sweet potato fries are also good. The price is right, the service is good, and the desserts are excellent. I highly recommend the peanut butter pie. However, if you’re searching for the BEST seafood in town, you won’t find it here, BUT it IS really good!

Amazing, fresh seafood. Great service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.

Great Neighborhood Place!. Hard to believe anyone has a bad thing to say about it – have been there at least ten times with several different groups and everyone has been overly satisfied, wanting to come back! I am not even a seafood eater and I love the grouper and crab cake basket. I skipped the calimari appetizer but the table loved it and every item they ordered. Great atmosphere, menu combos, bar and lively crowd – open for lunch and the office staff love those carry-out grouper sandwiches and sweet potato fries!
