Bath Rooms. We’ve been going to Ron’s for years. Food is good, people are friendly. But as we get older mid 60’s we tend to use the bath rooms more. I have complained to our waitresses many times over the years. I wonder how clean the cook’s hands are when they come out of the bath room. Then I see a new sign that cost a bundle I’m sure. The board of health needs to check this lack of hot water out. Its bad enough for a patron but the workers have to use the same facilities, NEVER hot water in years, and most of times their aren’t paper towels in the dispenser either.Something has to change or we may never go back. I drove across town for carry out last night and was very disappointed. I was told 20 min to pick up. I knew that wasn’t right so I get there at 30 min. Still not ready so I wait 10 more minutes. My order was over $50. When I get home, I find they had left out the rolls and potatoes and gravy. It seems I had been waiting extra time for the chicken only because the appetizers I got were cold and greasy. I threw them away. The capper was when I called to complain I felt I got nowhere. Is anything made in house?. Fried chicken was bland, over-cooked, and quite tough. Tried the Sauerbratten with potato pancakes. The sauce was okay but obviously came from a can. The potato pancakes were preformed hash browns that were reminiscent of soggy McDonalds hash browns. The hot slaw was merely raw cabbage topped with sugar vinegar and bacon bits. The menu was pretty confusing and made the restaurant seem as if it was trying to be a sports bar. Along with too many menu items, it was a clustered and confused menu layout. The red cabbage was the only saving grace for my meal. However if you like the food at the cafeteria your grandparents used to go to, you’ll probably like the food. This was Ron’s 4th chance for us and we will not be going back. For the prices we paid we can find a much better restaurant.

The house made Saratoga chips and barbecue sauce were delicious!! The fried chicken was great. Sides were good but not impressive. We will definitely go back!
Poor Quality. Went to Ron’s Roost some family. Haven’t been to Ron’s Roost in years, grew up on the Westside. They put in a bar to give the impression they updated and I assume to make an attempt to appeal to a younger crowd but they have lowered the quality of food they serve. Bad mistake in my opinion!!! Service was good, server was knowledgable about the menu but food was very bad. I had Turkey and dressing which they claimed was homemade, the turkey was poor quality and the dressing was Stovetop! They may have mixed it but that does not qualify as homemade!!! Most of the poeple in our group left having stomach issues after eating the food. My family will never go back!!!
