I have been going to Thai Namtip probably since it opened and I used to love their food. Something has changed and the food just isn’t up to it’s previous standard. The chicken coconut soup is a favorite and it’s still good but other dishes like the beef salad and pad woon sen that I’ve always liked just aren’t that good. The spiciness is gone, the meat is dry and while I like cellophane noodles, the pad woon sen is pretty much just noodles anymore. I’m starting to look for other Thai restaurants to try in the area and that’s a shame because it used to be a great place to eat.

I won’t go back. This was my second time. The staff is extremely pleasant, but the food, not so. Both times I had an appetizer which was overpriced & poorly done. The green papaya salad ($8.00!!) had a few papaya shreds & a few cherry tomatoes & was SWIMMING in liquid. Whole thing was completely soggy. The cold rice paper rolls ($5.00) which were supposed to have noodles, mint, basil. In reality, only had lettuce & two small pieces of tofu. That’s all . The diameter was less than one inch. If something’s on the menu, then hire staff who knows how to make it properly! The curry I ordered had vegetables which seemed not at all fr esh. The cauliflower pieces had the tops cut off– a sign that there were brown spots or mold which had been removed. The broccoli was limp & the carrots were bitter & tough, & the tofu didn’t seem fresh. I ordered a hotness of 20 & it was barely hot.

Great food and service. Prices a little high but I think worth it.

This is my review, please do not take this off.. My mother and I went there yesterday on 6/6/2011 at around noon. We were so disappointed. The food was BAD! We’re thai and we know what good thai food is suppose to taste like. I can’t believe that they didn’t know how to make beef salad that they charged 8-10 bucks for. Our papaya salad portion looks like a child’s portion, portion was small and mostly lettuce maybe a few papaya here and there, they charged us 7-8 bucks. I am so unhappy with this place. OVER- Charged for everything. We left there without touching it. We still paid for our meal, but we will NEVER go there again.07 Jun, 2011DO not go to this over priced place!. I am still angry that we went there to enjoy a nice lunch and we got CRAP to eat. I forgot to add that we also ordered there seafood salad, we got two small pieces of shrimp and a lot of imitation crab meat. THIS Was for 10 bucks!!! I should of taken pictures. What a joke! Seriously, I will tell everyone not to go to Thai Namtip.07 Jun, 2011Over-Charged and Bad FOOD!. My mother and I went there yesterday on 6/6/2011 at around noon. We were so disappointed.
