Too slow–2 appetizers took over 1/2 hour to arrive during the slow lunch hour when the only other table had ordered dessert & coffee. Decent food, just don’t show up hungry…
Fine Dining in Marietta. If the Buckley House is closed/full, or you want a change of pace, check out Austyn’s Restaurant a few blocks down. It’s a small place that is good for people watching if you’re fortunate to get a window-side table. The food is excellent as is the service, so long as they have properly staffed that night. I have been there twice, and on each occasion, the service is very relaxed but attentive. On my second visit, they refused many people without a reservation, despite the restaurant not being full, because of staffing issues. Still, the atmosphere and food are excellent. I would return next time I’m in the area.
My husband and I eat here a couple times a year, and it is always great! We have never had anything that we didnt love!
Had a good experience there. Tr seafood was cooked well and tasted very good. The service was really good. It is expensive.
I ordered the curry beef dish and loved it… I asked for it extra spicy. The dish was well presented, the beef was good quality and the curry was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy. My wife ordered the filet mignon and although it was a nice cut, it was very bland and lukewarm.
Understaffed, tables were empty and we still had to wait. Once seated we waited another 20 minutes before someone took our drink order. Very disappointed.
Such Variety!. Austyn’s is great! Their desserts were average. But everything else was gourmet and then some. They have everything on their menu, from salmon to curry to Thai and Japanese, this place knows their dishes. I HIGHLY recommend getting the Tuna Sashimi (raw fish served with ginger, wasabi, and a delicious soy sauce-based sauce for dipping!). Probably the best in the Mid-Ohio Valley that I’ve eaten. I had the Korean Beef, which was delicious. I also recommend their lamb… Wow. This restaurant has a wide variety of cuisines, too! I was so surprised. Also, their house dressing for salads is great! Really dim lighting, so it’s great for romance!
